Trauma is treatable.

The emotional consequences of trauma can be overwhelming. Burying these emotions is a common response, but only increases their intensity and exacerbates the problems they cause.

Have you ever experienced and expressed negative emotions, which upon further reflection seemed disproportionate to the situation which evoked them? Do these misunderstandings and overreactions interfere with your ability to form, build, and maintain relationships? Has your work life suffered? Are you often confused and forgetful? Are you easily angered, anxious, dissatisfied, or depressed?

When trauma is improperly managed, the negative emotions it causes grow and resonate, affecting every aspect of your life. Disconnected from their source — the original traumatic events — they can color your thoughts and perceptions with increasing strength and tenacity. If left untreated, they can take control of your life, causing you to misinterpret events, personalize what others say and do, project your thoughts and feelings, and feel and behave erratically.

In my practice, I help people find and process these negative emotions, linking them with their source so that they may be acknowledged. Once acknowledged, they may be understood; once understood, they may be processed; once processed, they may be let go.

Fostering a relationship of empathy, compassion, and trust, I will guide you through the process of releasing trapped negative emotional energy, which will allow your authentic self to emerge.

As a professional clinical psychologist, I can assure you this above all: serenity is attainable.
